From Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity Lincoln City ReStore opens for business June 1
Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County is proud to announce the grand opening of our Lincoln City ReStore, located at 2150 SE Hwy 101 in Lincoln City, on Friday, June 1 at 10 am. A grand opening celebration with cake and refreshments will be held at the ReStore on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 12 pm.
Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County ReStore outlets in Lincoln City and Newport, accept new and gently used furniture, building materials, and appliances, which are sold to the general public at a fraction of the retail price. ReStores are a trademarked Habitat for Humanity funding source whose proceeds help your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate fund essential program costs.
ReStore resale outlets provide cost effective home maintenance options and an environmentally and socially responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream. Since opening our first Restore in Newport in 2010, over 400 thousand pounds of reusable material has been diverted from our local landfill.
Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County relies on volunteers to help run our ReStores and on our home builds. The Lincoln City ReStore needs customer service volunteers and cashiering help. Lincoln City ReStore hours are: Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm.
