United Way’s 2nd Annual “Day of Caring” is coming to Toledo on Friday, May 4th . This is the second of FOUR “Day of Caring” events in Lincoln County. Community projects in Waldport and Lincoln City will follow.
The Day of Caring is a county-wide day of community service. A team of volunteers – community members – provide much needed labor to complete projects for local non-profit agencies that might not otherwise get done. Toledo’s Day of Caring focuses on the Yaquina Museum of Art at 151 NE Alder.
United Way believes in supporting the community and its valuable programs/agencies, so coordinates this effort to encourage volunteerism and build team spirit.
The work detail assembles at the Museum at 8:30am-11:30am (main work timeframe, possibly extended into afternoon).
