Any parent who has ever wondered how to enhance their child’s physical development, attitudes or self-discipline can learn a lot about all that by dropping by the Grand Opening of Lincoln City Self-Defense this Saturday, April 28th from 10 to 3.
Owner Chris Lowden says martial arts is much more that enhancing one’s personal safety. He says it teaches our young people respect for their parents, their friends, and for themselves. It embues them with a new attitude toward their “other teachers,” as in school, police officers, and trusted adults. It teaches discipline that enhances goal setting, school studies and many social and mental skills that last a lifetime.
Lowden says other benefits of Kempo training include general recreation; it’s simply fun! Also weight loss, physical conditioning, toning, self-control, even anger management.
Lowden offers training classes six days a week from 9am to 11:10am, and from 4pm to 8pm. Private instruction and training are also available. Lowden says his fee schedule is very affordable allowing him to offer the benefits of self-defense training to a wide cross-section of the community.
Lowden says his Lincoln City Self-Defense program Grand Opening will kick-off this Saturday, April 28th, 10 to 3, at 794 SE Highway 101, just south of Burger King in the Radio Shack Store building.
