The parents and kids that make up Lincoln City Youth League baseball got a rude slap in the face this week when they learned that a thief or thieves broke into their concession stand at Kirtsis Ball Park and stole everything in their freezer, including hamburger patties, hot dogs, polish hot dogs and pulled pork. The bandits also made off with a quantity of candy, gum and chips.
The loss is a considerable financial setback for the league, the kids and their parents. They’re asking anyone who may know who was behind the break-in to please call Lincoln City Police at 541-994-3636.
BUT! Here’s their plea. They’ve got baseball coming up and their main method of raising money for the teams is through concessions sales, something they’re now stripped of. So if any one or combination of people can step forward and donate toward the restocking of their concession stand, please donate to league families if you know some, or drop off a donation at at North Kenny’s IGA Service Center, or mail your donation to: LINCOLN CITY YOUTH LEAGUE, Concessions, P.O. Box 895, Lincoln City, OR 97367.
