Troubling video broadcast by CBC describing traumatic death of killer whale in designated U.S. Navy testing area off Washington Coast
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation out of Vancouver, B.C. reported that a member of an endangered killer whale pod was killed by “blunt force trauma” and washed up on the shore near Long Beach, WA. Marine mammal scientists say the injuries not from being hit by a ship or fishing vessel, but rather something akin to an underwater explosion, possibly occurring in an area designated by the U.S. and Canadian Navies as weapons testing areas.
