Highway 101 between Newport and Cape Foulweather, which some have called the best roller coaster ride you can enjoy in the comfort of your own car, is being tended to again by ODOT. ODOT says the pavement at both ends of mile post 134 to 139 are being re-surfaced as it must be done periodically since much of the in-between stretch is on an unstoppable geologic march to the sea.
ODOT says Tuesday through Thursday of this week, travel will be restricted to one lane between Newport and Beverly Beach from 9am to 3pm. Flaggers will control traffic in alternating directions. Delays are expected to range from five to fifteen minutes.
