The next big thing is being ready to survive an earthquake followed close behind by a tsunami. And this Saturday in Newport everyone who might want to try their hand at that will be given all the inside information they need to survive and perhaps spread the word about how easy it is to accomplish.
It’s called an Earthquake and Tsunami Preparedness Fair at Newport City Hall Saturday, March 17th, 3-7 pm. The program doesn’t last four hours. It’s a four hour window during which you and/or your family can drop in and get the straight scoop on how to cheat death, hunger and the elements.
Bring your curiosity, questions and a willingness to learn how to navigate a major earthquake and tsunami all in one afternoon, and even master it well enough that you can seamlessly share it with other members of your family, your friends, co- workers and even just plain strangers.
Saturday, March 17, 3-7pm, Newport City Hall, corner of Highway 101 and Avery.
