The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Oregon Coast from north of the Columbia River south to Florence. A strong winter storm is coming ashore with winds 40 to 50 mph, gusting to 70 mph along beaches and especially at coastal headlands. Winds are expected to peak from this afternoon (Tuesday) through midnight.
High profile vehicles and vehicles pulling trailers are advised to use extreme caution if not restraint. If drivers of such vehicles don’t absolutely need to drive this afternoon or evening, don’t.
