A major portion Oregon’s health care reform bill passes. But the rest is “not there yet.”
Governor John Kitzhaber’s staff says their boss is poised to sign legislation that gives many in the medical industry a mandate to cut costs and streamline medical care. However, when it comes to individuals and small business firms who also need medical coverage, the bill doesn’t deliver. But medical reform backers say that’s coming. They say it’s a critical component in an overall approach to improving the state’s medical delivery system.
