Story provided by Children’s Advocacy Center
Join “Hope 4 our Children’s Future” running/walking team on March 4, 2012 for the half-marathon and 10K in Lincoln City. The team is raising money for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lincoln County. Monies raised by the team will support direct services provided at the Center for child victims of abuse.
With every step each runner or walker on the team will make a huge difference in the life of an abused child in Lincoln County. “Hope” is a teddy bear that travels to raise awareness for our children’s future. Hope 4 our Children’s Future was founded by Sheryl Faught. Sheryl reports “Children are our future. Everyone who has children, grandchildren, relatives, students, anyone involved with children believe this. I am just asking they acknowledge it, also the job well done, thanking them for being there, and remember with every step they make, they can make a huge difference in our children’s future. ”
Individuals can make a difference by donating, manning a drink station at the race event, walking the 10K with the team, running the half-marathon, and/or fundraising. Learn more about Hope 4 our Children’s Future on their face book page where you can donate by linking to the firstgiving.com web site or directly to the Children’s Advocacy Center.
