A semi truck hauling a full load of curled cardboard rolls turned off of Highway 20 this afternoon enroute to the GP plant in Toledo. But Arcadia Street is not an approved route for the trucks because the road is very narrow and windy as it comes into town and trucks can’t make the sharp turns. The driver realized that he’d made a boo boo and tried to finagle a turn-around but lost it in the ditch. A very large tow truck was summoned and soon had the truck extracted from its predicament.
No injuries, no real damage, according to authorities. The cardboard rolls destined for plant arrived none-the-worse for wear. But it’ll be nothing like what they’ll be going through as they are transformed into new paper products!
