Ten Rivers Food Web will be hosting Sea to Table: a dinner celebrating Oregon’s sustainable fisheries on February 26th from 5pm to 8pm at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany. Chef Matt Bennett of Sybaris Bistro has composed a beautiful five-course meal highlighting Oregon’s magnificent winter bounty.
The evening will start with assorted hor d’oeuvres from the wood fired oven followed by an olive oil poached albacore, winter salad. Next some hearty souper Dave’s smoked salmon chowder with smoked oyster crackers. The main course will feature Dungeness Crab crusted rockfish, pickled beet sauce, mashed root vegetables, crispy beets. And for dessert, a warming dark cherry clafoutis with toasted hazelnut cookies.
The event will feature live music from Sweet Papa Lowdown. Reserve a table for 8 to dine with friends, family, or co-workers by calling Katy Giombolini at 541-602-7278. Vegetarian entrées will also be available but please email firstname.lastname@example.org for your request.
Proceeds from this dinner provide a $6 match of SNAP (or food stamps) benefits spent at Linn and Lincoln County Farmers’ Markets. This supports local farmers and fishermen, promotes healthy eating, and strengthens farmers’ markets.
Tickets are $49 and can be purchased at Oregon Coast Community College’s Central Campus (in the Small Business Development Center, room 007) and online:
