Subject: WATER MAIN IN YAQUINA BAY RETURNED TO SERVICE
The water line crossing Yaquina Bay that feeds the South Beach area has been repaired, has satisfactorily passed all testing, and is back in service as of 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Water conservation efforts are no longer necessary. The City would like to thank the residents, businesses and agencies in South Beach for their outstanding response in conserving water. The City would also like to thank the City of Toledo and the Seal Rock Water District who both went out of their way to ensure that the City of Newport was able to provide South Beach with a safe and sufficient supply of water during this crisis.
