The craze is on and groupon (group coupon) and living social opportunities abound. Unfortunately, those computer opportunities are offered mainly in larger metropolitan areas. Kathy Cline, Newport Pool Director, wanted to offer the Newport community her version of a groupon/living social opportunity and an overall great deal, Newport style. Most groupon deals are offered as one day internet special. The pool is opening this class up until full!

The benefits of water exercise can’t be beat. The natural resistance that you encounter when exercising in water generally leads to greater strength, endurance and muscle tone. According to DiabeticLifestyle.com, aqua exercise training can help you to tone your hamstrings and quadriceps while improving your cardiovascular health. Aqua exercise may also help you burn off calories and fat. Because of its low impact nature, aqua exercise training is often recommended for people suffering from arthritis, obesity, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and other mobility problems.
Aqua exercise might also improve your mental health. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, swimming in general often helps to improve mood in both females and males. Aqua exercise training routines are also easily individualized to fit your fitness level, needs, abilities and restrictions.
