Newport Police report that, over the weekend, they cited two 18 year olds and a 16 year old for shooting paintball loads at three vehicles in Newport. Police say that they got the first call from a resident on Oceanview Drive that someone had shot his pickup with a paintball gun. Then a short time later another report came in that another vehicle had been hit, and then another. One caller said neighbors heard what sounded like gunshots and immediately took cover.
Police later located the suspects and issued them citations for Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct. The recipients of those tickets were identified as Angel Aparicio Reyes and Kevyn Wallace, both 18, and one juvenile male, 16.
