The Davis Family happened to run across this old suspension bridge that had the Yaquina River water levels come right up to where it’s hanging.. Looks like quite the repair job. Maybe elevated platforms on both sides would be a good idea if it’s rebuilt. The second photo came from Robyn Sleeper from Waldport who captured the essence of what happens when you blend too much sand with too much wind. You get very expensive sand castles with an ocean view. We understand these homes often look like this with or without major storms. And Angie Sanderson came across this little mudslide on the road. She didn’t say which one, but you can sure tell the ground is really more like a sponge than a hill. Steve Power with his incomparable eye and sense of composition captured the flooding Siletz River’s escape to the sea, just south of Lincoln City. And Zack Gintner said he want everyone to know what can come up while living near Elk City. He said the river stopped just short of coming inside the house. It should be receding by now.
