The storm is still lashing the central coast this morning, with scattered power outages throughout Lincoln County. However, no reports of any major property damage. But there is still a lot of storm to get through before this afternoon.
Emergency Services Coordinator Jenny Demaris says “We’re holding tight. There are trees across some roadways but traffic is getting through although we encourage people to postpone any travel if at all possible because trees are still falling.”
A big tree fell across Highway 34 and power lines east of Waldport. ODOT crews cutting it up, to reopen the road.
The storm is expected to continue through 4pm this afternoon.

LINCOLN CITY: Damage has been minor so far at 8:18am. Police found a boat in the middle of Highway 101 at the Roadhouse 101 at the south end of Lincoln City. They’re not sure how it got there. They were removing it. There’s a car into Siletz Bay but there was no one in it. Lots of power lines down, tree limbs flying around. No major injuries thus far.
