These photos were taken Wednesday night by Cheryl Hammon at Nelscott Beach in Lincoln City. She writes,” Say goodbye to the setting Winte Solstice and hello to the longest night of the year.”
My only comment to add is…YAAY!…headed for Summer!! Hopefully Cheryl will also be out there June 20th, when the Summer Solstice sun goes down more slowly, and the lingering sunlight from the northwest hangs overhead until midnight. Light a beach fire, toast the Summer stars and sip a great Pinot Noir with friends!
