Toledo scrambles with breaking water lines, due to the cold
Provided by Toledo Public Works Director Adam Denlinger
As a result of colder temperatures the department has responded to several system breaks. Most notably last evenings break above Rock Park at around 5:00 pm which required a system shutdown to a one block section of Main Street.
Crews worked into the evening to repair a 2-inch waterline which fed the fire protection system to the History Center building. A small number of businesses and residents were without water as crews replaced a short section pipe. Crews successfully completed repairs and restored service to the area by 8:00 PM.
