Lincoln County Search and Rescue efforts to find missing hunter Floyd Lucero have officially ended but a sheriff’s spokesman says they’ll continue to do spot searches as appropriate. Deputy Bruce McGuire says when Lucero embarked on a hunting outing near Rose Lodge in mid-November, he was wearing hunter camouflage clothing making it nearly impossible to spot him unless they were very close.
McGuire says Search and Rescue has spent many days in the wilds between Holiday Day Road and North Bear Creek Road, south of Highway 18 and have turned up no sign of Lucero. His friends say he is a well experienced hunter and knows the terrain very well. But despite concerted efforts of friends and Lincoln County Search and Rescue, they just can’t find him.
