‘Kids in the Kitchen’ Cooking Class Series Begin Thursday
Kids of all ages, and their parents, are invited to attend “Kids in the Kitchen,” a FREE and fun and informative three-part cooking class hosted by the Newport Family Literacy and HELP Center.
The first class will take place, Thursday, December 1st, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the center, located at the former Yaquina View school building, 351 S.E. Harney Drive. The next two classes will take place on Dec. 8 and Dec. 15, same time and location.
Presented by a nutrition education instructor from Oregon State University, the classes will teach how to “Put a Rainbow on Your Plate,” how to “Build a Healthy Plate,” and how to “Grow with Fruits and Veggies.”
Participants are invited to come with a healthy appetite and leave with a full tummy and some new recipes. Again, it is FREE! For complete information and to sign up, call 541-574-5824.
