Salmon fishers came up short this season, leaving them on the hook for some pretty hefty investment losses. Fishers claim that they made less money this year than during last year’s tightly restricted season. The reason? There was so much food for the salmon to eat right off California that they didn’t have to migrate very far north to get full bellies. In short, Oregon salmon trollers came up short.
