Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a report of a car full of people, all asleep and with drugs and guns clearly visible through the windows. The car’s motor was running and they were blocking a business driveway.
Upon arrival, deputies ordered all three adults and one child out of the car and detained them.
While inventorying the car, they found handguns; one stolen from Springfield, a marijuana smoking pipe, and a quantity of methamphetamine, heroin and prescription drugs. Also packaging materials and scales, both associated with drug sales.
Driver Thomas Haynes was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on charges of possession of heroin, meth and prescription drugs and endangering the welfare of a child. Bail, $225,000. Passenger James Blaska was booked for manufacturing and delivery of meth, being a felon in possession of a firearm, theft, and endangering the welfare of a child. Bail $1,300,000. And passenger Jessica Weatherly was booked for manufacturing, possession and delivery of meth, theft and endangering a child. Her bail was set at $1.16 million.
The child was taken into protective custody.
