Another shake-up at Hewlett-Packard; HP Corvallis watching developments very closely.
Very high altitude politics have obviously been playing out as beleaguered Hewlett-Packard has stumbled over the last year trying to figure out what business it wants to be in while its stock value has been cut in half. Today HP is expected to announce a new CEO, a high tech notable who recently ran an unsuccessful campaign for governor of California. Another change at the top in less than a year is unsettling for all HP employees, certainly among those 1,000 or so who are employed at HP’s Corvallis facility.
