New Years Eve in Yachats is when half the town promotes fun and welcomes the New Year. It’s also when the Yachats Big Band fires up their “Masked Ball at the Yachats Commons.” This is the band’s first public performance since March of 2020, when activities were shut down due to the COVID pandemic. Make sure you’re all vaccinated up so you can safely join the party and all the festivities and music you can handle.
New Years in Yachats will begin at 7 p.m. and go until 10 p.m. There will be alcohol-free toasts at the top of each hour as the new year progresses across the time zones of the United States.
Admission is $10 per person or $15 per couple, which will benefit local community promoting organizations. Light refreshments will be available. And all state COVID protocols will be observed. To soften things up just a little, make sure your face mask holds up for three hours.
