The members of the greater Lincoln County community ask that the Commissioners and Legal Counsel find the courage to remain steadfast in their recent support of the implementation of 21-203 and what it intends to help accomplish: Slow reduction and elimination of STRs in unincorporated neighborhoods zoned R-1/1A and R-2.
To allow the introduction of a new flood of STRs during this period of Restraining Orders and Temporary Injunctions would be detrimental to not only the neighborhoods that need protection from further infiltration by mini-motels, but it also diminishes the faith and hope of voters who find solace in the words of the Commissioners that the intent of the new law should be enacted given the public’s clear direction.
Stand strong – support the will of the people of Lincoln County who have spoken convincingly: no more STRs in unincorporated neighborhoods. Maintain the moratorium until all legal issues have been decided, and vigorously defend this case.
Please keep your promise of NO NEW STR (BUSINESS) LICENSES.
