DEQ Issues RFP for Smoke Mitigation and Alternatives to Burning
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, with support from our partners, is seeking grant proposals for projects that demonstrate alternative burning techniques or non-burn treatment options that effectively reduce wildfire hazard, maintain productive and resilient forests, and improve air quality. This RFP is open to communities, nonprofits, private businesses, tribal nations and local government agencies. DEQ will award approximately $400,000 and expects to issue multiple contracts resulting from this RFP. DEQ will consider grant requests up to $200,000. Projects must be conducted within the timeframe of March 1, 2022 through March 30, 2023. Please join us for an informational webinar on the RFP for Smoke Mitigation and Alternatives to Burning.
