If you’re heading out to the Oregon coast this weekend keep a sharp eye out for the surf.  The National Weather Service says there is a good chance that sudden power waves will roar ashore and drag anyone in the surf out into deeper water. That means never turn your back to the ocean. Staying off logs and rocks near the surf zones also means keeping children close by. Sneaker waves can surprise beachgoers, because occasional “muscle waves” run up on the beach much farther and much faster than other waves can.
