Lincoln City City Councilors made some real progress in pursuit of making Lincoln City a bit more attractive on land than on the water. The council awarded a 136-thousand dollar bid to knock down the old police station now that the new police station is up and running with a new parking lot to follow.
Next came an additional council project – a new roof on the Lincoln City Community Center Roof. They’re getting ready to install it.
And there’s still an empty seat at the city council table. The city is inviting interested Lincoln City citizens to perhaps run for city council in May of next year. Acting City Manager Lila Bradley is sure to attract some decent candidates. There was also talk of constructing a robust parking area off 28th Street.
