PUBLIC ACCESS RESTORED TO CERTAIN CITY PROPERTIES DUE TO REDUCTION OF FIRE DANGER LEVEL
The Oregon Department of Forestry has reduced the fire danger level in our region to high fire danger. With this, the closure of certain high-risk city properties is no longer in effect. These properties include:
- ● Agate Beach Closure area east of the transfer station
- ● Schooner Creek Drainage
- ● Little Creek Drainage
- ● Big Creek Drainage
- ● Big Creek Reservoir
- ● Forest ParkPublic use in these areas is restored. However, fire danger is still quite high and users are asked to exercise care in these areas. The complete burn ban remains in place. No fires are allowed in any of these areas. If the fire danger level returns to extreme, the closures will be reinstated. Please call 541.265.9461 with questions.
