North Lincoln Fire goes after a large outdoor burn up Drift Creek Road
9:21pm – North Lincoln Fire is enroute to a report of a gathering of people near South Drift Creek Road. It’s a large outdoor burn three miles up from Drift Creek Road, cross of Anderson Creek.
There is an absolute ban on outdoor burns throughout Oregon. The entire state is a tinderbox and has lost thousands of acres of wildlands including ancient trees because of thoughtless hikers who don’t seem impressed when being told that Oregon is a tinder box and must be protected which demands NO OUTDOOR FIRES. Very stiff fines await anyone who breaks the laws of preserving Oregon’s legendary outdoors.
