Car burning inside auto repair shop. 9th Street blocked from Angle to Herbert
2:20pm Newport firefighters are on their way to a report of a car fire inside a repair shop at 306 SW9th. It’s a car repair shop with a flaming car inside. Due to the oil/flammable contents of the building Newport Fire Department is calling for mutual aid from surrounding fire departments.
2:32pm Firefighters on scene say the fire is under control. Mop up to follow.
