President Joe Biden and the U.S. Congress has been firing money out from the Washington DC to help our nation recover from the economic devastation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. And that money continues to flow to states, counties and cities across the country.
One such monetary gift has come in the form of 2.8 MILLION dollars that will replace docks and pilings in Depoe Bay Harbor. The current docks and pilings were built in 1952 (that’s…ummmm…nearly 70 years of long and proud service) but officials say those docks and pilings can’t handle any more duct tape and bailing wire.
The Depoe Bay community will soon witness a veritable renaissance in the re-emergence of a first-class and fully functional high seas port.
Better late than never.
