Oregon Coast Community College is a two-year institution where students can earn an Associate degree and save money by staying local and utilizing their community college. While known for its outstanding Aquarium Science and the Nursing and Allied Health programs, OCCC offers the community so much more.
Students can earn degrees or certificates in four different fields, General Studies and Humanities, Health Professions and related programs, Early Childhood and Teaching programs, and Aquarium Sciences. The community college offers a strong start for students wishing to transfer to a four-year university.
OCCC works hard to promote student success, from the summer term offerings of foundational math and writing courses to our college preparatory courses we strive to ensure our students are ready to succeed in the Fall and beyond. We also offer workforce training programs designed to meet the market demands of Lincoln County.
OCCC offers resources for students from financial aid through scholarships (contact Layton Spence, Financial Aid Specialist), free tutoring, library services and career resources through the STEP program (contact Gena Burke, STEP advisor).
OCCC even offers options for adults looking for personal enrichment or those who just want to take “fun” classes such as Basic Car Care, Keyhole Gardening and Spring Planting and even Yoga, check out the lineup of non-credit community education courses offered each term in the OCCC newsletter Catch the Wave. They are both affordable and motivating!
