Oregon DEQ prepares to launch expanded Diesel Emissions Reduction Grant Program
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s Diesel Emissions Reduction Grant Program allows a broad range of diesel equipment owners to apply for funding for emission reduction projects, including the retrofitting, repowering or replacing of older, more polluting diesel equipment in favor of newer, cleaner alternative technologies.
Public, private and tribal entities may apply for funding for projects that measurably reduce diesel emissions in Oregon.
Each project must address diesel emissions from equipment currently operating in Oregon. DEQ has approximately $40M in funding for this effort. The agency will award close to $8M per year during each of five consecutive calendar years, beginning in 2021 and ending in 2025.
