Car fire at NW 11th and 101
8:21 am Report of a car fire in Newport at Highway 101 and NW 11th Street. Emergency responders are enroute.
8:26 am Arriving firefighters say a truck pulling an R/V is blocking a southbound lane of 101 at NW 11th. Reports from the scene is that the R/V was smoking but firefighters are making sure it’s out. Watch for emergency vehicles.
8:27 am Traffic is being re-routed. Driver of the truck suffered considerable smoke inhalation. He’s likely going to be enroute to the hospital.
8:36 am Driver is aboard an ambulance enroute to the hospital.
