President Trump has been poo-pooing the Covid-19 virus for months dismissing any thought of coming down with the virus…but both were tested positive after a whirlwind tour of the mid-west this week. Trump and his wife, who also tested positive, will be sequestered and medical officials will closely monitor their condition
Trump has spent the better part of a year denying the aggressiveness of the virus which has now taken over 200,000 American lives since February. It seemed that nothing could stop the President from traveling about the country, campaigning in crowded theaters, airplane hangers and meeting halls. A number of his political and governmental aides kept coming down with the virus but Trump seemed almost immune to the disease – until he traveled with one of his aides this past weekend and both he and his wife both tested positive. Trump is very over-weight and in his early 70s, which makes him a more vulnerable target for the virus.
Should Trump be incapacitated from the disease Vice President Mike Pence would assume the duties of President. Pence has tested NEGATIVE for the virus. Although the President frequently said that wearing masks is a good idea, he seldom wore one himself once telling a staff member “It doesn’t look Presidential.”
