11:51pm Report of a Newport traffic crash on NW Edenview Way, just west of 101 and northwest 21st – north end of town.
12:02pm Crash impact knocked over a fire hydrant which reportedly is NOT spewing water. City public works crews are being called to the scene due west of Safeway and Fred Meyer and a block west of 101.
