Big surge in Covid-19 cases probably plays a role in Lincoln County being forced to the recovery sidelines
Lincoln County was hoping to earn their way into the state’s Corona Virus Phase 2 status which would open the doors to more commerce and state-wide visitors for Lincoln County. But a not-so-funny thing happened on the way to pulling Lincoln County out of the muck. All of a sudden there was a big surge in cases…61 to be exact with reports that say it may be a lot more.
The outbreak been reported to be centered on Newport’s fish processing operations. All but one of those 61 infected workers came from Pacific Seafood that runs a big fish processing facility on the Bayfront. Other viral breakouts have been popping up all over Oregon.
