Oregon Coast Aquarium Temporarily Closed to the Public For Two Weeks
In response to Governor Brown’s executive order to cancel large gatherings in order to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Oregon Coast Aquarium has been temporarily closed. The Aquarium will remain closed to the public with an anticipated reopening on March 27th. During this temporary closure, all scheduled programs and events have been cancelled.
Aquarium staff say they appreciate the public’s understanding of our temporary closure to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The health of our staff, volunteers, visitors and our community is our top priority. Our dedicated staff remains focused on the care of our animals during this time,” said Oregon Coast Aquarium President and CEO, Carrie Lewis. “We feel this is the responsible decision especially as we are entering the very busy Spring Break season.”
