Lauren was taken to the hospital a couple of days ago. She had another emergency surgery but she isn’t out of the woods. Another surgery is needed waiting for her potassium levels to improve then she will immediately go into surgery again.
Lauren, a graduate from Newport High School, has been fighting hard for over 2 years. Although doctors say she was born with this, the last couple years have escalated into numerous hospital visits, surgery after surgery, while Lauren was working the whole time. Many people didn’t know she was in pain and struggling because she tried not to show it. But things have escalated and it has made it difficult and sometimes impossible for her to work. Right now is one of those times she is unable to work.
But she is determined to beat this.
We are unsure how much more she will have to endure, her kidney just keeps getting worse and her body keeps rejecting the stint, she is in constant pain. She will need more surgery but she has to heal a little first.
I’m doing this fundraiser for Lauren hoping to raise enough money to get her through the next month or two, and im praying she will be back on the road to recovery after another surgery in March. She does not deserve another two years of this.
