Washington & Oregon forests poised to battle Climate Change….if we leave them standing…

Old growth forest in coastal Oregon serves as habitat to the Spotted Owl and the Marbled Murrelet
Researchers at Oregon State University say some of the most efficient forests at removing atmospheric carbon dioxide are throughout the Pacific Northwest. So, taking care of those forests, instead of cutting them down, is a primary goal of many climate scientists.
