On Friday, December 6th the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will be hearing public testimony on this proposal during their commission meeting in Salem, OR.
We need folks that can go the extra mile to join us on Friday and voice your support for wild steelhead release.
Here’s what everyone can do:
Call or email ODFW staffer Michelle Tate by 5pm Tuesday, December 3, and let her know you want to testify. Phone: 503-947-6044; Email: Michelle.L.Tate@state.or.us
Prepare 3 minutes of testimony. If you have written comments, email them to NFS by 3pm Thursday, December 5th and we’ll make copies or bring 20 copies yourself.
Show up at 8am. We’re on during the Public Forum at the beginning of the Commission meeting.
Find a friend to join you. It’s easier and more fun to do this with friends.
And if you haven’t already, please join us in advocating for these iconic fish by signing the petition today!
For abundant wild fish,
PS: Coming from afar and looking for a carpool? We have folks volunteering to drive others from SW Oregon and other locals. Let us know, and we’ll work to connect you.
