SILK SCARF ART
On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, 12:00 – 1:00 pm, the 60+ Activity Center will be hosting a Silk Scarf Art class.
There are several versions of Scarf Art using permanent sharpies or cloth paints. For this class you will have two choices. You can use colorful sharpies to make your own special unique design, then using an eyedropper, apply alcohol. The alcohol will make the colors bleed into beautiful designs, or you can apply jewel colored cloth paints that can be brushed on. Everyone goes home with a completed project!
Cost of the class is $15.00. Class size is limited to 10 participants, so please sign up early.

Meditation is now mainstream and is being practiced in many different places in many different ways. The meditation that will be taught in this workshop has its roots in Zen practice. In our everyday lives we can see how complex life can be and how we need to have a place to relax and catch our breath sometimes. In this workshop, you will learn that this place of rest already exists in our own bodies. The most important point in this workshop is to learn how to simply sit, and be comfortable and restful – a practice and tool that can be applied to any life endeavor.
This informative workshop will be held the first Thursday of each month December 2019 – March 2020. The instructor is Joseph Armenio.
This workshop is free to members, and for everyone else there will be a $2.00 drop-in fee.
