What’s New at the NLCHM Museum; New Research Resources!

Presenter: Jeff Syrop, Director of the North Lincoln County Historical Museum

This presentation will give an overview of the research resources available at the North Lincoln County Historical Museum (NLCHM) in Lincoln City. The museum recently received grant funds from Oregon Heritage and Oregon State Parks to revamp the Hendrickson-Link Research Library and from the Siletz Tribe Charitable Contribution Fund to digitize archives. Jeff will go over the grants they received and how they are now able to better assist research patrons. He will also cover what’s new at the museum, volunteer needs, future projects, digitization, preservation, and more!

Jeff Syrop, Director

Jeff Syrop is the Director of the North Lincoln County Historical Museum in Lincoln City and was previously the Curator of the Lincoln County Historical Society in Newport. We, the membership of Lincoln County Genealogical Society, would like to invite you to come join us in the pursuit of finding one’s ancestors and family’s story. We are a non-profit organization that was founded in Lincoln County in 1986 by a small group of family history research enthusiasts. Our purpose is to promote education and historical awareness, record and preserve genealogical records and information, encourage and instruct members in research techniques, foster interest in genealogy and publish genealogical materials. Anyone with an interest in their family history is welcome to join LCGS. You do not need to be a member to come and enjoy our presentations, but by becoming a member and/or donating to LCGS you help preserve Lincoln County history and support family research both locally and even worldwide.
