Fred Costanza, indicted for Menacing, Harassment, Intimidation, Assault
A Lincoln County Grand Jury has indicted a Blackfoot, Idaho man for assaulting a transgender woman inside an Agate Beach restroom, injuring her severely. Fred Costanza, 37 and his wife were visiting the area. She went in to a restroom and contends that she was harassed by a man inside. She told her husband about it. Reports say Fred Costanza entered the restroom and brutally assault transgender Lauren Jackson, fracturing Jackson’s skull and breaking facial bones. Later Jackson told the grand jury he did not harass Costanza’s wife.
Jackson was rushed to a local hospital, then to a hospital in Portland where it was determined that Jackson will have to undergo extensive facial reconstruction. In the meantime Costanza remains held in the Lincoln County Jail awaiting criminal prosecution in District Court. Reports say that Costanza has a criminal record spanning several states.
