Calypso was more than happy to assist Lincoln City Police Sgt. Jeff Winn with briefing this morning while patiently waiting for her owners to come get her. She was brought to the station yesterday after escaping from her owners’ vehicle at the Lincoln City Outlet Mall.
But unfortunately, Calypso wound up being taken to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Newport by County Animal Services. When her owner came to claim her, police advised him that his name would be attached to the incident report. However he also learned that he had a warrant out for his arrest. The irony is that police were unable to locate him to advise him that the warrant did not pertain to Lincoln County – so he could still get Calypso back!! Hopefully he finds out so the two can be reunited!
