A cash flush Oregon Republican Party opened up their checkbooks last week and softened the pain of their fellow politicos who walked out during the last legislative session making sure proposed Climate Change bills would never see the light of day.
Among the eleven GOP’ers who left town rather than watch the bill pass, each received $3,000 toward the fines that were levied on them by going AWOL when the bills emerged. The GOP sided with truckers, who haul everything from milk to lumber, who claimed they were being unfairly singled out with a very good chance of facing bankruptcy.
