Newport, Ore.— Oregon Coast Community College and the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce are excited to host another year of the Leadership Lincoln Program, now in its 27th year after taking a hiatus in 2018. Community leaders are invited to become part of a select group of 20 to 25 participants for the 2019-2020 class.
The goal of the program is to develop leaders with interest in, and commitment to, the future of Lincoln County and to provide networking opportunities that will enhance positive professional and organizational growth. Interesting and informative guest speakers present a variety of timely topics chosen to better inform participants about key issues in Lincoln County. This year the program will also introduce “The Complete Leader” textbook by Ron Price and Randy Lisk, facilitated by Newport leadership expert Jalene Case, EdM, ACC.
Classes will be held once a month, usually on the second Wednesday from September through June. A class schedule is included online. All classes begin at 8:30 am and conclude by 3:00 pm. Three bonus sessions are scheduled, each lasting from 8:30 am until noon led by Dr. John Baker of Northwest Management. The program concludes with a celebration dinner and graduation ceremony in mid-June 2020.
Tuition for the Leadership Lincoln Program is $550. Partial scholarships are considered on a case-by-case basis and payment plans may be available. Tuition covers the cost of all class materials, refreshments, lunches, and graduation dinner for the participant and an additional guest.
Applications can be found at newportchamber.org/leadership-lincoln, and can be returned to the Chamber office. The deadline for applications is September 6, 2019. Questions can be directed to 541-265-8801 or Lonna Roe at firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited.
