Join us to walk along the ocean in Yachats and hike to the Amanda Statue on Tuesday, July 2nd. This walk has cool views, easy walking and a bit of forest for those who choose the longer walk and offers enjoyment for all abilities.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a six-foot non-extendable lead to walk with us and owners must carry and use appropriate cleanup materials.
The first one and one half miles is out along and returns on the 804 Trail in south Yachats. The three mile walk does not hike up any hills and does not go to the Amanda Statue. The longer route continues and climbs up the Pacific Coast Trail to Amanda’s Statue.
Walk a little, a lot or the whole six miles. Our distance and speed of walking is tailored to those at the walk that day. Walking sticks and sturdy shoes recommended. This is the Oregon coast so layer your clothing and bring something to carry said clothing when the sun comes out. All walkers are welcome, and we walk with or without sunshine. These walks have varied walking surfaces and a few short hills.
RSVPs are greatly appreciated. Call or text Maryann at (541) 961-4279 7am-7pm for more information or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Meet us inside the front corner of the Overleaf Lodge lobby (located at 280 Overleaf Lodge Lane, Yachats, OR) at 9:45am for registration, then we will drive to the walk start. On the Day of Walk use text or phone.
